What do you do when you’re in serious glorious sunshine on a photoshoot. Search for shade, of course.
That may sound pretty odd but realistically, I hate shooting in the bright sunlight. It’s a personal preference and don’t get me wrong, I love an early morning sunrise or golden hour sunset shoot… but bright middle of the day sun is so harsh and makes images look flat.
I met with Francesca & Liam at the always beautiful Dunorlan Park in Tunbridge Wells. I know the park already because, well, what family with a two year old living nearby doesn’t? but this time, instead of heading to the play area (Although Liam was interested in the wooden dragon sculpture!) we headed off to a less crowded, shady area.
Most of my couples are full of nerves and feel a little odd starting off their engagement shoot, but these guys didn’t show it. They had their giggles but they nailed pretty much every shot, which makes my job pretty easy (thanks guys!)
Once we got a few beautiful shots, and because no-one was in a rush to head off, we went searching for areas that I had noticed were stunning backdrops, but in the blaring sun.
