So – lets take you back to October last year, I’m sitting in my office feeling uninspired and ready to change that. I’m lucky enough to work with some seriously lovely wedding suppliers and I’m pleased that we all have the same idea when it comes to how you should plan your wedding – however you blinking like! So when we all decided we could spare the time and that we knew we would totally rock a styled shoot, we got a date in the diary!
Fast forward to 15th October and getting together to pull off an epic styled wedding shoot – at Westenhanger Castle. Helen, our bride, has the most stunning blue hair, which fitted in with our colourful and carefree style – Sharon from Adornare (https://www.adornare.co.uk) immediately started bringing out Helen’s natural beauty with a stylish make up look. Joanna from Hair by Josephines (http://www.hairbyjosephines.co.uk) twisted Helen’s blue locks into a badass ‘do.
Jeska from The Bridal Boutique of Jules (https://www.boutiqueofjules.co.uk) not only brought along a couple of the most stunning dresses I have ever seen in my life, but she also brought some stylish accessories too. There’s nothing I like more that delicate lace and a biker’s jacket combo!!
We were privileged to have an awesome Mustang come along for some shots from Quadriga Car’s. I knew Shaun would deliver something awesome because he doesn’t deal with normal wedding cars (http://quadrigaweddingcars.co.uk) we wanted something plucked out of the extraordinary to sit outside of the castle for a perfect photo opportunity.
Roxanne from The Little Wedding Warehouse made us all swoon with props pinterest would be jealous of (https://www.thelittleweddingwarehouse.com) Just look at the seating options!! *Heart eyes*
We had the pleasure of some feathered friends joining us for a few moments. An owl, an eagle and a hooded vulture to be more specific, and I won’t lie, they kinda stole the show! Amazing what you can do when you have bunch of awesome suppliers who help people achieve their dream wedding!
We had so much fun creating a more carefree and relaxed atmosphere to this shoot, so why not throw a smoke bomb or two in there?
Billy from Billy & Botany Floral Design (http://www.billyandbotany.co.uk) had the most incredible arch of flowers created in an awesome arrangement in the grounds of the castle. He really has a spectacular way of making flowers bloom even in an already grand location.
Now, are you looking for somebody to create your ‘a little bit out there’ wedding cake? Because Chelsea from Chelsea Buns Cake Design (https://www.chelseabuns.co.uk) not only has the imagination to go that extra mile for your dream design, she’s got the skills to match. I knew that Chelsea would come up with an idea that really matches the whole theme of the day without a sweat and she did not disappoint!
Joanna who did Helen’s gorgeous hair style, also went for something out of her comfort zone and created for us all a second dress to shoot. She made this by hand just for the shoot so you can imagine we were all blown away by her dedication. Jo also make veils for any brides who want something bespoke, you’ll find it all on her website.(http://www.josephines.me.uk)
I think you can see how much fun we all had with this! If you like what you see, give us a share 😉
