These guys got in touch with me soon after having trouble with their previous photographer – double booked!
I know this sounds so cheesy but I’m actually glad they didn’t have their original photographer because they were just my cup of tea and were lovely people to photograph – their whole family made me feel so welcome and made me want to make sure I captured their day in the best way possible! Amy kept me in the loop with all the details and Nathan said he wasn’t the best in front of the camera, but we had a mini practise with their pre wedding shoot and he was probably one of the easiest Groom’s I’ve ever worked with!!
So It all started at Hempstead House, a beautiful venue in itself, with a gorgeous room for Amy and her Maids to get all pretty and excited in. I took a few photographs of the details here while waiting for the girls to start getting ready, after a little while, beautiful Elley turned up – the bride and groom’s daughter – and stole the show!
The ceremony took place at Boughton Golf Club, which is a lovely place with some serious greenery going on for portraits (My fav!) I’ve got to say they are some of my favourite ceremony pictures – the emotion these guys had was raw and beautiful and I hope I’ve done a good enough job to capture it in all it’s beauty. Nathan’s two son’s, Jordan & Jamie, had important roles during the ceremony with one doing a speech and the other playing the guitar, how much more personal can you get?
The party continued at the golf club and finished with some stunning moments during Amy and Nathan’s first dance as husband and wife. Amy and her dad then came to the dance floor to dance away with something they had rehearsed! I don’t always get to witness a father and daughter dance so it is so lovely when I do.
I hope you enjoy the images 🙂
